I DID THIS ON A USED,THROWN AWAY X-RAY FILM. I HAVE TREATED THE X-RAY FILM ON PHOTO CHEMICALS TO REMOVE BLACK SILVER. WHEN IT HAS BECOME TRANSPARENT LIKE GLASS I STARTED APPLYING OIL COLORS WITH DIFFERENT SIZES OF COMBS, TO GET THIS TEXTURE. THIS TAKES LONG TIME TO DRY BUT IT GIVES AN EXCELLENT TRANSPARENT EFFECT. THIS EXPERIMENT HAS GIVEN ME A LOT OF SUCCESS AN MANY OF MY WORK DONE ON FILMS HAVE TAKEN FOR CORPORATE GIFTS.
INSPIRATION
-I GOT THIS INSPIRATION, WHEN I WAS LOOKING STREET SCENE THROUGH A DIRTY GLASS WINDOW,AND I THEN STARTED THIS EXPERIMENT. I FEEL THAT THIS CAN BE A VERY GOOD GIFT FOR ANY SEASON
Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass. Always keep artworks away from direct sunlight and also from walls having water leakage problem, - as both can damage it.
- Unframed artworks are shipped in rolled format in a protective tube.
- Framed artworks are shipped in thermocol boxes, secured with multiple layers of bubble wraps.
- We ensure paintings are packed with utmost care to avoid any damage during transit and delivered to you in perfect condition.
- International shipping: Paintings shipped internationally are rolled and shipped in a tube. The painting is not stretched and is not ready to hang. It is meant to be framed by the customer at their local frame shop.
