This painting is mildly inspired from Tibetan Thangka Style Painting.
Goddess Tara was a true feminist of her time.
After developing bodhicitta. Tara was suggested by monks, that because of her level of attainment she should next pray to be reborn as a male to progress further, spiritually. At this point she lets the monks know in no uncertain terms that it is only "weak minded worldlings" who see gender as a barrier to attaining enlightenment. She further said, she has attained enlightenment in a female body only, so she vowed to be reborn as a woman, and in all her next lives until she attains Buddhahood.
Tara manifests in many different forms as per the colour and energy and She is the female aspect of Avalokitesvara.
As Green Tara she offers enlightenment, succor and protection from all the unfortunate circumstances one can encounter within the samsaric world Code-ART_8835_76820
