Artist's Notes

This artwork is inspired by the ancient and traditional art form called Kerala mural paintings. Kerala mural paintings are the frescoes depicting Hindu mythology in kerala. These mural paintings date back between 9th to 12th centuries CE when this artform enjoyed royal patronage. Here the artist has shown a scene from Lord Krishna's adolescent life, when he tamed the demon snake "Kaliya" by dancing on his head.

Care Instructions

Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.

Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass. Always keep artworks away from direct sunlight and also from walls having water leakage problem, - as both can damage it.

  • Framed artworks are shipped in thermocol boxes, secured with multiple layers of bubble wraps.
  • We ensure paintings are packed with utmost care to avoid any damage during transit and delivered to you in perfect condition.
  • International shipping: Paintings shipped internationally are rolled and shipped in a tube. The painting is not stretched and is not ready to hang. It is meant to be framed by the customer at their local frame shop.
