About Painting

A vibrant portrayal of Krishna’s avatars from the Gitagovinda, combining traditional Indian art with a mythological theme.

Theme

The painting depicts a mythological scene from the Gitagovinda, showing two of Krishna’s avatars engaging with different figures. The focus is on divine manifestations and their interactions with mortals, reflecting spiritual and cultural aspects of Hinduism.

Style

The painting follows the traditional Indian miniature style, characterized by flat perspective, intricate detailing, and vibrant colors. It blends stylized figures and symbolic storytelling, typical of paintings found in historical manuscripts.

Room or Space

This painting would be ideal for a meditation space, a study room, or even a living room. Its mythological theme and vibrant colors would add depth and cultural significance to any space, encouraging reflection and contemplation. This artwork will complement any room or space beyond those mentioned, depending on individual preference.

Mood

The mood of the painting is both divine and dramatic. It evokes a sense of reverence and awe towards the divine, combined with a narrative tension that characterizes the interactions between the gods and mortals.

Composition

The composition is divided into two vertical halves, each showing a different scene. On one side, a calm seated figure interacts with a smaller avatar, while on the other, a dynamic battle scene unfolds. This split creates a balance between the serene and the dramatic.

Colours

The use of bright and contrasting colors, such as deep blues, yellows, and reds, adds vibrancy and highlights the divine and mythological nature of the scene. The background division into two distinct color sections adds further contrast and clarity.

You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.

Please do not use soap water, detergent, disinfectants or any chemicals over the painting as it might dissolve the colors. Paper and cloth paintings are usually framed with a glass on top, hence the artwork will remain intact. You would just need to clean the glass.
