Depiction: The word Bahubali (English: One With Strong Arms), a much revered figure among Jains, was the son of Rishabhanatha (the first tirthankara of Jainism) and the younger brother of Bharata Chakravarti. He is said to have meditated motionless for a year in a standing posture (kayotsarga) and during this time, so many climbing plants grew around his legs because of his austerity & mortification. and after tht he had attained omniscience (Kevala Gyana/Salvation). 57-foot tall ,The Gommateshwara statue at Shravanabelagola Karnataka,India) is one of the most important tirtha in Jainism. Ideally paintings don't require much care as its a vertical surface, hence dust doesn't settle quite easily. You can gently dry dust the painting once in a month. You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
