A colorful butterfly flying from an open hand, symbolizing liberation and release from constraints.
The theme centers around liberation, freedom, and release. The act of a butterfly leaving the hand embodies a journey from constraint toward independence and self-expression.
The painting uses an abstract expressionist style, with loose brushstrokes and a blend of textures to represent the butterfly and hand. The use of expressive strokes portrays a sense of dynamism.
This painting would be ideal for spaces that inspire creativity and reflection, like a personal office, art studio, or even a living room. Its message of freedom and expression suits spaces where positivity is encouraged.
The mood is uplifting and hopeful, symbolizing freedom and new beginnings. The butterfly’s movement conveys a sense of optimism and breaking free from limitations.
The composition centers on the open hand at the bottom, with the butterfly in flight as the focal point. The use of space and diagonal lines adds dynamism, while the hand grounds the image in reality.
The dominant hues are soft blue for the background and a mix of green, blue, yellow, and red for the butterfly. The warm, earthy tones used for the hand contrast with the cool background, creating visual balance.

A hope for a better tomorrow, a dream of a free world where everyone is able to free themselves from the hand that ties them down, and take a flight towards a fuller life: this is the prayer thatÕs conveyed through this work. The colourful butterfly ready to fly away from the hand that has gently released it depicts our eternal yearning for freedom from bondage, both real and illusory. Hues of blue in the background tell a story of freedom that goes from blues of depression to blues of vast, unrestricted, clear skies. Note: The wings of the butterfly have a scaly texture that resembles a real butterfly wing upon touching. This effect is achieved by the artist with the use of an ordinary ruler, with no use of any other specialized equipment.

You can also gently use a slightly damp cloth and dab it gently over the surface to capture the dust particles. You can do this once in 6 months.
